On February 25, a video was released on the official January The video shows the robot's movements with better movement than the previous clip.

Tesla announced the latest version of Optimus, Gen 2, last December. This robot is an evolution of the original Bumblebee from September. The updated 2022 version is packed with Tesla-designed actuators and sensors, is 22 pounds lighter, and increases walking speed by 30%.

While December's clip is undoubtedly impressive, the Optimus Gen 2 still walks stiffly, like someone trying to walk. And another video from Optimus' official account in January shows the robot walking gently and somewhat unsteadily again. And the latest video of Optimus Gen 2 shows that it now moves noticeably faster and is a bit more stable.

Milan Kovac, Optimus engineering lead at Tesla, explains some of the advancements made since a December video, Gen 2 robots now have the fastest walk ever. It is approximately 0.6 m/s, which is an additional 20% increase in speed. The balance system, footpath and ground contact logic have all been improved. Along with other improvements, the team also added slight sway to the torso and arms to make them look more natural. It was back in August 2021 when Tesla announced it was creating a multi-purpose bipedal humanoid robot.”
