Samsung files patent for new foldable phone Thinner than the original model

According to SAMMOBILE, a patent related to a new foldable phone (US 11,889,006 B2) was filed two days ago with the USPTO (US Patent and Trademark Office), detailing the smartphone design technology record. A foldable design that could make the device thinner than Samsung's current Galaxy Z Fold series phones.

It also reveals a wider body. Supports wider cover screens and a foldable screen that is wider inside The device shown in the patent documents is curvier than the Galaxy Z Fold 5, according to the patent, and several components, including screws, springs, and gears, are used in the hinge. Most patents never make it into final products, though. But there's a good chance that this design will be used in future Samsung smartphones.

Some reports claim that Samsung will bring design changes to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and it will likely have a wider bezel screen. Ironflex, which means a new flexible OLED screen that can be used with phones, tablets, and foldable displays. Whether or not Samsung will bring a built-in S Pen slot to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 remains to be seen. go

Meanwhile, there are rumors about it. Samsung denied rumors last year that it was developing an FE version of the Z Fold device, but WinFuture reports that Samsung has three new foldable smartphones in development, two of which are in the works. It's the standard Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6. The final version could be a cheaper foldable model, possibly the Z Fold 6 FE. The Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 are expected to launch in July before launching in August. There's no word on when a cheaper Z Fold 6 model will arrive.
